Bowens Disease

Usually seen on sunshine exposed areas of skin for example the backs of the hands, forearms, upper shoulders.

 

Usually a slightly thickened red and scaly patch of skin which fails to repond to simple moisturisers etc.
 
Bowen's Disease is extremely responsive to cryotherapy  and also to PhotoDynamic Therapy (PDT).  Bowen's Disease can progress to more serious skin cancer if left untreated and should be identified and treated early.
