cryotherapy skin lesions dermatology

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is used for the destruction of some superficial skin lesions.

This technique is used through the application of an extremely cold spray, typically liquid nitrogen (approximately minus 200 degrees C).  Superficial skin lesions of many different kinds can be treated in this way.

The treatment is usually delivered by a specialist dermatologist or specialist nurse.
